Our Staff

Federico & Selene

Federico and Selene are based in the southern Korean city of Pohang. They come to Seoul every weekend to teach at El Bulín and to dance in the milongas. Here are some of their accomplishments:

  • Taught and performed in various cities in Korea, including Pohang, Busan, Daegu, and Seoul
  • Performed in 2012 Beijing Tango Marathon, 2011 Pohang Tango Festival, 2011 Taipei Tango Festival, 2009 Busan Beach Milonga, 2009 Daejeon Tango Festival
  • Fourth place at the 2010 Asian Tango Championship in Tokyo, finalist of the 2011 Mundial de Tango
  • Federico is also a seasoned DJ. He has been invited to DJ at Seoul Tango Festival, Taipei Tango Festival, and Daejeon Tango Festival

Benjamin & Suri

Benjamin and Suri started coming to El Bulín in 2010 for classes and milongas, and in 2012 they started teaching here. They performed as the members of El Bulin Group Performance Team in 2012 Milongueando Welcome Milonga, 2013 Seoul Tango Festival Welcome Milonga and 2013 Andres Laza Moreno & Luciana Arregui Pohang Workshop Grand Milonga. Benjamin also DJs regularly at El Bulín, El Tango, and as a guest DJ at Ataniche and Tango O Nada. He was also invited to DJ at the Otoño Tango Festival, 2013 Andres Laza Moreno & Luciana Arregui Seoul Workshop Milonga and 2013 Carlitos Espinoza and Noelia Hurtado Seoul Workshop Farewell Milonga.

Damian belongs to the first generation of students at El Bulín, and he is our first homegrown teacher. He is very active in the local tango scene and he has participated in quite a few foreign events. He started the Saturday Damian Practica in 2011 which has become the longest-running and most popular tango event in our studio.
